As an Area Operations Manager at Airgas, your expertise in managing industrial gas plants takes center stage. You'll lead the way in overseeing gas production and distribution in your area, ensuring compliance, boosting efficiency, and championing safety. Working closely with branches, you'll streamline processes for consistent and effective gas filling and distribution.
  • Compliance Champion: Uphold SOPs and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.

  • Operational Excellence: Optimize industrial gas plant operations for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Safety Leader: Conduct safety reviews, audits, and meetings to foster a culture of safety.

  • Training Focus: Develop and track regulatory training programs for plant associates.

  • Performance Metrics: Monitor industrial gas plant metrics, set goals, and ensure standards are met.

  • Problem Solver: Address operational challenges promptly to minimize disruptions.

  • Production Planning: Plan operations to meet customer demands.

  • Best Practices Advocate: Promote industry best practices within the organization.

  • Innovator: Research and implement improvements in industrial gas plant operations.

  • Travel: Be ready to travel up to 80% of the time to various sites within the region.

    • Bachelor's degree and 10-15 years of relevant experience.

    • Strong knowledge of industrial gas plants, regulations, and operational management.

    • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

    • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle with insurance.
