Aquatics Manager Recreation & Community Programs Salary: $25.00/ Per hour Hours: Varies by Season
Responsibilities:
* Oversees the day to day operations at the Lexington Town Pool. Ensures adequate staff coverage, supervises and evaluates all aquatics staff. * Supports the department with staff onboarding and facilitates weekly staff in-services. * Manages group swim lessons. * Monitors chlorine levels and conducts regular water tests. * Enforces safety rules, regulations and inclusion practices. * Performs facility and custodial work as needed and other related duties as assigned. * Provides support at the Old Reservoir as needed. * Communicates with the Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to support program participants as needed. * Works under the direction and supervision of the Aquatics Supervisor and Recreation Supervisor. * Early mornings, nights and weekend required.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 21 years of age * Current Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification or YMCA Lifeguard Certification (includes Standard First Aid Certificate, or Community First Aid and Safety Certificate) * Current American Red Cross CPR Certificate for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart Association CPR Certificate for the Health Care Provider
* Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) Certification * Previous experience working at aquatic facilities/waterfront facility as a supervisor preferred * Experience with staff management and supervisory skills * Ability to resolve any issues with either the public or staff * Ability to foster an inclusive environment for patrons and staff
