The Archery Specialist will run archery activities for camp groups throughout the camp day and week including. The ideal candidate will have experience, be certified in Archery, have a passion for being outdoors and teaching children. The Archery Specialist will be directly responsible for creating a memorable summer experience for campers, while ensuring safety is a top priority.

Sterling Woods Summer Camp is located on 35 acres of beautiful woods, complete with trails, ropes course, zip line, a pond, cabins, and a stage, each day is packed with a wide variety of age-appropriate challenges, led by our enthusiastic, experienced camp counselors.

To thrive in this role, you have experience in camp settings working with youth, have a passion for outdoor activity, and a desire to share your skills and knowledge with others. You are able to demonstrate techniques while providing clear communication to children to engage them in taking steps to conquer their fears and participate fully in outdoor activities. You have an optimistic attitude and enjoy inspiring others to succeed while sharing in their accomplishments. You have the utmost attention to detail with due regard for safety and policies to ensure the health and well-being of participants.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work Monday-Friday (40 hours per week) for the camp season is required.

  • Must have reliable transportation to ensure the ability to commute to and arrive at camp on time daily

  • Archery Certified
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
