Program Overview:
At Werfen, our people are our most important asset. Our Professional Development Program (PDP) targets talented and ambitious developing professionals with high learning potential, strong personal values and ethics, and a passion for continuous learning. Designed to provide a unique, accelerated rotational experience, the program provides participants with an in-depth understanding of who we are and what we do here at Werfen that drives our passion for patient care.
The two-year program is broken down into four, six-month rotations across select departments and project teams. Your rotational assignments will prepare you for long term success at Werfen. The assignments can be customized to support your development and provide you with the knowledge and experience to support strategic technical leadership needs within Hardware Engineering.
Throughout your program experience, there will be regular discussions with your manager and the Program Lead to help identify options for career paths within Werfen. Unique networking opportunities, exposure to senior leadership and individual career coaching are available to all program participants.
ResponsibilitiesPosition Description:
The R&D Professional Development Program (PDP) is a rotational program that exposes high potential individuals, with a passion for engineering and product innovation, to the exciting world of specialized diagnostics. As a worldwide leader in specialized diagnostics in the areas of Hemostasis, Acute Care Diagnostics, Transfusion, Autoimmunity, and Transplant - Werfen is committed to develop the next generation of technical leaders that power patient care. As a member of the Bedford technology center, the R&D PDP candidate will be exposed to departments and projects along the product development process in subject areas such as project engineering, design engineering, & process engineering. Candidates will also work closely with cross-functional stakeholders in areas such as project management, quality assurance, operations, and more.

QualificationsCandidate Profile:
Individuals interested in applying for the Professional Development Program should meet the following criteria:
Education: Undergraduate degree required in either of the following engineering disciplines: Electrical Engineering (EE), [Electrical]Computer Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
Graduate degree desirable with a strong preference for candidates that have specialized in either of the following areas: Control Systems Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Machine Design, Manufacturing Technologies, or Instrumental Analysis.
Experience: 0-4 years of professional work experience
