Working under minimal supervision of the Director of ERP Applications Development referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Pega Developer is responsible for analyzing, designing and developing programs and processes across all Connection enterprise platforms. The Senior Pega Developer is an integral part of the Pega team with responsibilities for supporting design, development, test and implementation functions. Participating as a technical resource authoring comprehensive documentation regarding programs and processes in support thereof. Additionally, the Senior Pega Developer adapts to the organization and exhibits an understanding of the cultural elements from an IT perspective.
Responsibilities:
  • Creates technical programming specifications from functional design documents in accordance to application reference architecture.
  • Assists Quality Assurance by preparing unit test plans, supports user acceptance testing as needed, prepares documentation necessary for product deployments.
  • Collaborates with other Pega IT decision makers on the creation of technical roadmaps, standards, tooling and frameworks required to create a modern, high quality, rich application suite.
  • Utilizes modern technologies in forward looking ways to solve business problems – including AI, digital platform and automation.
  • Ensures application solution design conforms to agreed-upon SLA and KPI metrics; to include performance, fault tolerance, etc.
  • Responsible for application solution from design and build through deploy and execution.
  • Participates in project meetings, code reviews and sprint retrospectives.
  • Builds upon existing knowledge garden and cross training needs for production support.
  • Works within agile teams adopting best software development practices including manual and automated testing, continuous integration techniques, automated deployments, etc.
  • Ensures that solutions delivered have an excellent customer experience, are secure and scalable, comply with best practices and open standards.
  • Ensures an innovation culture in the team by providing continuous improvement and continuous deliveries (CICD).
  • Plays an active role in creating and communicating new technical solutions to business partners.
  • Ensures product backlog has appropriate technical stories and participates in their prioritization.
Requirements:
  • Experience with integrating Pega applications with enterprise level APIs and data services.
  • Aptitude to pick up new concepts and technology rapidly; ability to explain it to both business & IT stakeholders.
  • PEGA Direct Capture of Objectives - DCO.
  • Use Case design and Development.
  • PEGA Post SSA certification Experience.
  • 7+ years of developer experience (5+ years with Pega technologies).
  • 7+ years working with teams in an Agile development environment.
  • 7+ years Hands on Experience in Designing and Implementing Enterprise Class Rules, PRPC.
  • Flows, Activities, Reports and Correspondence, PRPC Case Management and various PRPC Integrations.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Senior Pega Developer responsible for architecture, solution design, estimation and development of overall application including re-usable classes and frameworks, component design, UI design providing scalable and resilient solution that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • 7+ years of experience in Designing and Implementing PEGA Enterprise Class Rules, Flows, Activities, Repots, Correspondence, Case Management and Integrations, Data Pages, Agents, UI design, Dashboards, Reports, Troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Experience in Pega server configuration and Oracle database query optimization for performance testing execution, troubleshooting and fixing issues identified in load volume test. Assess production system health check, identify issues and provide resolution.
  • Software development Life cycle and Agile Methodology.
  • Exhibits strong consultative skills, adaptability, and a high degree of sense of urgency and ability to meet tight delivery schedules.
