Job Description

We are looking for a Watch Analyst to join our Search Analysis team in Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to provide support and handle inquires regarding our CompuMark Watch products and services. You will be responsible for Watch portfolio maintenance, making sure that orders are entered, updated and cancelled as customers requested and involved in a timely and correct manner. As a Watch Analyst you are accountable for conducting trademark monitoring and analysis on specialized databases and other sources as necessary to product quality Watch reports for clients. About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • At least 2 years of experience in a business/customer-focused environment
  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's degree

  • The ability to multi-task and balance priorities and shifting deadlines.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language (by preference Italian or French)
  • Additional languages will be considered an advantage (mainly Dutch, Spanish, and German)

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Answers clients' inquiries regarding CompuMark Watch products and services via written communication, in person, or over the phone.
  • Answers internal questions regarding trademark Watch products and services to colleagues via written communication, in person, or over the phone.
  • Follows through on client inquiries with the appropriate Manager and other appropriate department/team members.
  • Manages daily production, including completing all assigned trademark Watch tasks according to the expected delivery time frame.
  • Makes sure that qualitative Watch reports are produced for CompuMark clients: Analyzes Watch requests and develops an effective Watch strategy based on trademark, international classifications, market, and product scope.
  • Analyzes data retrieved and selects the most pertinent references for inclusion on trademark Watch reports for customer delivery.
  • Works with mentors to ensure the Watch approach results in high-quality trademark research reports. Provides internal feedback and recommendations to management on opportunities to improve quality or processes.
  • Completes assignments promptly according to the turnaround schedule promised to the customer or internal deadline.
  • Assures accurate maintenance of clients' Watch portfolios: Reviews work order criteria to ensure accuracy. Ensures watch orders are being entered, updated, or canceled within the timeframe promised to the client or internal deadline.
  • Review orders and customer settings to ensure the correct delivery and renewal of watch reports.
  • Completes applicable training to learn all job-relevant systems and information, including Trademark Fundamentals, Hit Selection, Query Strategy, Introduction to OPSi, Introduction to Products, Overview of the Customers, Watch Administration, or other specialized database/product training. Maintains an active understanding of the intellectual property (IP) industry and grows knowledge of relevant technologies/services/industry events to improve personal skills and better understand customer needs. Performs additional duties as required.

About the Team:

Clarivate has over 100 years of trademark industry experience through solution suites, including CompuMark, Darts-ip, and trademark admin services. CompuMark Watch helps brand owners safeguard trademarks from infringement risks by watching over 250 countries and territories across 190+ official trademark registers. You'll become a member of our global team, collaborating with colleagues across Europe and India and focusing on managing the CompuMark Watch product line. Your role will involve close collaboration with our Sales, Customer Care, and Product teams.

Hours of Work

  • This is a full time, permanent position.
  • Hybrid working schedule of 2-3 days/week on-site in Boston
