JOB MISSION:

New Balance's Finance Transformation team is building a best-in-class digitally-enabled, agile, and integrated Finance function that drives data-driven decisions and strategic business outcomes, creating enterprise value for the long-term. As NB experiences exponential growth and adapts to a continuously changing environment, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Finance Manager to join our dynamic transformation team. Come partner with us to work cross-functionally to build and implement Finance's long-term future state vision.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Process Alignment: Manage process alignment projects across various finance activities to promote standardized global approaches to financial planning and analytical reporting. Communicate with central and regional finance counterparts to understand best practices, gather feedback, and align key stakeholders on process alignment initiatives and actions.
  • Technology Value Realization: Partner across Finance functional areas and IT to ensure that Finance adopts and realizes the value from NB's new system capabilities (D365, Oracle EPM, o9, PPM/PLM, Aptos). Work to understand opportunities to connect and integrate data from these different systems to reduce time spent on non-value add manual data aggregation work for the Finance function.
  • Reporting Infrastructure Development: Enhance NB's finance reporting capabilities by designing, developing, and implementing reporting solutions using Spotfire and Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Planning Evolution: Support Finance's transition to the new Oracle EPM planning system by understanding stakeholder requirements, while promoting new ways to enable driver-based, system driven forecasts and scenario planning activities.
  • Gross Margin Expansion: Support gross margin expansion initiative by highlighting progress on key drivers and promoting standard and comparable ways of reporting. Contribute to regular GM decks and presentations to update Senior Leadership on progress towards this key corporate initiative.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience within Finance and Accounting
  • Knowledge and experience working in a similar role within Consumer Goods, Retail, Manufacturing, or similar Industry
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Spotfire, or related technologies with a demonstrated track record in visualization techniques and creating complex reports from multiple data source
  • Experience with ERP systems such as D365 preferred, but notrequired
  • Experience with EPM systems such as Oracle EPM preferred, but notrequired
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and propensity to think differently and embrace new processes and technologies

Flexible Work Schedule

New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
