Program Director

The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy.

Summary of position:
Are you passionate about empowering individuals with lived experience in foster care? Do you have a knack for leadership and envisioning strategic goals? The Massachusetts Network of Foster Care Alumni (MassNFCA) is seeking a dedicated Program Director to spearhead our efforts in Massachusetts.

About Us: MassNFCA is a budding non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing and expanding the foster care alumni network in Massachusetts. Situated at the Baker Center for Children and Families, we are driven by a vision of operational independence, supported by a dynamic team, committed board, Department of Children and Families, foster care alumni and invaluable partners.

Your Role: As the Program Director, you will be at the helm of MassNFCA’s operations, ensuring financial stability, organizational growth, and impactful outreach. You will lead a passionate team of staff and volunteers, fostering a collaborative environment where foster care alumni can find community and thrive.

Essential duties:
  • Oversee day to day operations with finesse and efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship and supervision to our dedicated team.
  • Maintain financial integrity and foster strong ties with the Department for Children and Families.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Elevate MassNFCA’s visibility through strategic partnerships and community engagement.
  • Drive fund development efforts to fuel program expansion and sustainability.
  • Work closely with DCF staff to complete NYTD surveys.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Qualifications and skills:
  • Proven experience in non-profit operations, community organizing, and advocacy.
  • Proficiency in program management and fiscal oversight.
  • Exceptional communication skills and cultural awareness.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion.
Training:
  • Proficiency in essential tools like Excel, Word, Canva, Zoom and social media platforms.
Compelling cover letter and a recent resume required for consideration.
