The Baker Center for Children and Families operates The MA Child Abuse Emergency Line for the MA Department of Children and Families (DCF). We provide an emergency response system to keep children across the Commonwealth safe from child abuse and neglect.  
 
Job Title: Clinical Supervisor (Part-Time)

Summary of position (no more than 500 characters):
Supervisors utilize their clinical skills working collaboratively with telephone screeners to assess the urgency of each call, guiding the fact-gathering and critical thinking process in potential abuse and/or neglect cases requiring a clinical decision and potential intervention.  They impact the success and advancement of Telephone Screeners through individual supervision and play a critical role in program improvement through participating in various quality management activities and delivering group training. The Emergency Line provides an intensive training program as well as additional opportunities for continuing education. Supervisors work staggered shifts from 4:00 pm – 9:00 am weekdays and throughout the weekend including mornings, afternoons, evening and overnights and have off-shift responsibilities including individual supervision, quality management activities, meetings and trainings.
 
Essential duties (no more than 10 bullet points):
  • The schedule for this position begins at 4:00pm weekdays.
  • Manage shifts collaboratively with team members to promote quality and efficiency.
  • Review Telephone Screeners’ reports and support decision-making in alignment with DCF and Emergency Line policies, procedures, and priorities.
  • Coordinate emergency screening reports and responses with DCF On-Call Supervisors.
  • Foster learning, success and professional development of Telephone Screeners through individual supervision off-shift.
  • Promote a calm, professional, and nonjudgmental working environment.
  • Deliver training for new Screeners and Supervisors.
  • Work together as a supervisory team to ensure coverage of shifts.
  • Actively participate in monthly staff and supervisor meetings.

Qualifications and Skills
Education: Master’s degree in social work or related field
Experience: 2+ years working in child welfare
Training:
Skills: Ability to assess safety and risk in a fast-paced environment

License/Certification: Social work license or LMHC required
Salary: $62,000-65,000
