As alifeguard at the ________ YMCA, you will helpensurethe safety and well being of all swimmers, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.On a regular day, you will oversee all aquatics activities, explain and enforce safety regulations and rules, monitor for any safety hazards, and assist in activities. You must be rescue ready at all times and implement emergency procedures as needed.You will assess theswimming capabilities of everyone in the aquaticsarea and ensure individuals are not allowed in areas that place them at undue risk.

To thrive in this position you must have the physical ability to respond in an emergency situation andbe able to stay focused and present throughout the duration of your shift.You mustenjoy interacting with a wide variety of people including children and adults.You are not afraid to take on responsibilities and are able to address concerns with visitors on the pool deck in a professional and courteous manner.
