The Manager-CAC Program Grant manages all aspects of the Children's Assessment Center (CAC), which includes but is not limited to the organization of the participation in the Multidisciplinary Team, supervises CAC staff, program development and management, public relations, grant writing, financial management, staff management and community outreach and education. Performs other duties as needed.
Master's Degree in social work required. Minimum three years of clinical experience required in criminal justice, child protection systems, victim advocacy, program development and implementation, interagency collaboration programs, program management, grant writing, mental health support programs, victim support programs or services. Minimum two years of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge of psychosocial, developmental, cultural, medical, legal and mental health needs surrounding child maltreatment. Knowledge of the impact of abuse, neglect, trauma, domestic violence on families and children. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and/or enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Ability to present and speak publicly on behalf of victims and agency services. Effective team building skills, organizational and staff development. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with workplace/patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to the position; discern temperature variances through touch.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or in the process of obtaining an LCSW to meet California Board of Behavioral Science Supervision criteria required.
