Responsibilities

The candidate will work as a Planner/Scheduler in the Strategic Systems Program Office, a dynamic, high-volume department, to facilitate program planning within cross-functional teams in support of government contracts to ensure adherence to customer and contract requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who works well independently and in groups. They must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and productivity.

The Master Planner/Program Scheduler is responsible for scheduling, compliance, development, reporting, analysis, and risk assessment activities. The candidate will be accountable for developing and maintaining Program Integrated Master Plans/Schedules associated with the entire project lifecycle and will support the Program Office in developing and implementing scheduling best practices and standard work templates to enhance efficiencies in program execution.

Responsibilities:

    Create and maintain a compliant Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Work with a cross functional team to execute recurring monthly status.
  • Ensure the IMS is compliant with customer requirements throughout all program phases (including commercial and government customers).
  • Ensure the IMS is resource loaded for applicable scope with target budgets and demonstrates thorough cost and schedule integration.
  • Work directly with EVM team to meet all EVM change requests, monthly deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  • Interface with PMO during audits and program reviews.
  • Support program manager(s) to execute schedule reporting, metrics, variance analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Monitor and measure project progress, identify and work program-wide issues, and provide support to program/ project leadership with respect to budget impact analysis, including cost, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Support EAC and LRE processes as they relate to the IMS.
  • Critical path management and schedule risk assessments through scheduling digital tools.

Help implement IMS best practices and processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications
  • A BS/BA degree in a relevant field, MS or MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project/program management, specifically scheduling.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Project, including critical path analysis, work breakdown structure (WBS) management, schedule resource leveling and actual work hour collection.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment is a must.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to readily adapt to changing priorities are required.

  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification
